Serious Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) on Knees and Waist — A Cure in the Making on Day 2 of Workshop
Name: Mr. Yee Chun Soon (Male, age 39, from Johor, Malaysia)
Background
Yee was introduced to Paida and Lajin by his friend and subsequently attended Xiao Lao Shi’s talk at the KSL book fair on 11 Nov 2012 in Johor, Malaysia.
He suffered serious rheumatoid arthritis problem on both knees (and fingers) since seven years ago. Initially he had great pain walking and had to be assisted by others to get up from a chair or up the stairs.
He was taking steroid and relying on painkillers over the past years to ease the pain.
In addition, he had waist/lumber disc problem and was not able to bend down and touch the floor.
Day 1
Yee is a very nice, quiet and soft-spoken guy who didn’t speak much on Day 1.
We did some Paida and Lajin on Day 1. His Sha (greenish, purplish and blackish) came out easily during Paida but he only managed to Lajin each leg for about 10 min or so initially (with great pain and the lowered leg was hanging in the air and not touching the floor).
Day 2
We started to do a longer and more “forceful” Paida and Lajin session on Day 2. Below is his “journey to cure” and sharing at the end of Day 2:
1. With his knee (pain) condition as such, going for a jog at 6:30a.m. for about 45 min is a big challenge. Anyway, to his surprise he managed to finish all the rounds (which he was very happy about).
2. His entire arms and hands (3 yin and 3 yang meridians) were thoroughly worked on and patches of greenish, purplish and blackish Sha appeared easily whenever an area was being patted.
3. There was no air-con in the room and the temperature was about 30?c and yet, he sweated a lot and felt cold (instead of warm) and had to wear a jacket in the room.
4. In the afternoon, coach Shuan Li helped and did a “carpet bombing” on him, on both hands and arms followed by the front and the back. The pain must have been so unbearable and intense that he had to cover his face with a towel the whole time.
5. He was in great pain (as could be seen from his facial expressions) when asked to Paida his own knees. He was sweating all over …and suddenly he burst into howling and shouting… “I am sure I can be healed, I am sure I can be healed, I am sure I can be healed…(我一定會(huì)好的! He continued to say it out loud until he finished Paida both his knees. We watched in awe and full of admiration for his strong will to get well as we knew firsthand the “excruciating pain” he had just gone through…
6. He was visibly exhausted and soaked (with hair wet) as though he had just taken a bath…He gave a very touching sharing thereafter as follow:
7. The pain was excruciating and really unbearable but he felt great and much relieved after the “howling and shouting”. He managed to hang on as he reminded himself of what Xiao Lao Shi said “if you want to get well soon, then Paida more…”
8. He took a short break to the wash room after the Paida. While walking back to the room, he suddenly realized his waist problem which had troubled him for a long time was gone.
9. In addition, he proudly announced that he could now bend down fully with both hands touching the floor and his toe.
10. Half way through, he became very emotional, trying to hold back his tears and bowed to coach Shuan Li and thanked her profusely for patting him and helping to “open up his heart” (so to speak).
11. He spoke passionately, confidently and with high spirit throughout the sharing. His face “glowed” with happiness from within.
12. Lastly, he advised all who experienced “coldness” during Paida to wear a jacket/cardigan during the entire Paida and Lajin process. As for the “excruciating” pain, one should try to release it through crying (if it feels right) or shouting it out loud rather than suppressing it. Speaking from his own experience, he felt much better and greatly relieved after the howling/shouting.
It was an impactful sharing where everyone was awakened to a certain degree (in my opinion) as we watched in awe the change in him within just two days.
His positive attitude and the strong will to get well soon had a contagious and ripple effect on the group and everyone was kind of “charged up” and motivated to do more Paida and Lajin and reminded each other to JUST DO IT!
We wish him WELL and speedy recovery on his journey to cure.
