This 4x50' documentary, anchored in Dunhuang, explores the dynamic shifts in global and Chinese history over two millennia, as well as the interplays of East-West trade, culture, and art.
We are no stranger to documentaries about Dunhuang. However, this work holds particular significance in the current context, as it demonstrates how various civilizations can communicate, coexist, and even merge. With a global view, the series not only delves into Dunhuang in China but also traces its impact in six Silk Road countries such as the UK and India, exploring this ancient cultural hub through interpretations from eminent scholars worldwide.
