這三個(gè)動(dòng)詞都可表示“解雇”、“開(kāi)除”的意思。
dismiss “開(kāi)除”、“解雇”,正式用詞,語(yǔ)氣較平和,一般只有從上文才 能看出解雇的原因或理由。
1)The manager dismissed his secretarybecause of her incessant chattering.
經(jīng)理把他的秘書(shū)辭了,因?yàn)樗蠂Z起來(lái)總是沒(méi)完沒(méi)了。
2)She was dismissed from her post forbeing late often.
