A persistent myth is: if you're having fun, you cannot be productive. This is not true! When we give ourselves permission to have fun, we are more calm and rested. People who have a playful attitude have fun everywhere. For them, it is important to be creative and have fun, both at work and in everyday life. It is almost a philosophy of life.
有個流傳至今的謬論說到：如果你在娛樂，那你就沒有生產力了。這絕對不是事實！當我們讓自己玩樂的時候，我們更冷靜，更休閑了。有好玩樂的態(tài)度的人們在哪都能得到樂趣。對于他們來說，在工作和日常生活中，有創(chuàng)意和樂趣是很重要的。這幾乎是種人生哲學。
You can play right from the first day of your life until your last breath but only if you want to! We live in a society that favors the rat race and where performance mesmerizes the minds. It can be difficult to appreciate that we may want to have company in the evenings, play a game of cards with friends and not leave in the mornings without finishing our Sudoku! There is no conflict between pleasure and production. Games promote well-being, health, creativity, logical sense, strategic thinking, spontaneity, curiosity and relaxation.

There are certain kinds of people who allow themselves lesser leisure time than others. But no one is completely incapable of having fun. Basically, we all have the capacity to do so. However, some have more trouble letting go, because their environment holds them back.
有某幾種人是會把自己的休閑時間壓縮得比別人少的。但是沒有誰是完完全全不能娛樂的?；旧希覀兌加袏蕵返牟拍?。但是，有些人更難釋放內心，因為它們的環(huán)境不允許。
It is noted that older people are more spontaneous and free spirited. Pleasure becomes the driving force behind their actions. If they want to have fun, they do. If they get no pleasure, they refuse an activity. Perhaps the need to prove something to others is less they do not feel judged while having fun.

Adults, meanwhile, are sometimes afraid of being judged by others if they are caught having fun. Thus, many adults allow themselves more freedom to play when children are present. Confidence is an important factor in our relationship with leisure. This is a prerequisite that leads us to be less afraid of being judged by others, be more likely to be spontaneous. Confident people are not afraid to get wet in the rain or play in the dirt.
與此同時，成人在被別人發(fā)現(xiàn)在玩的時候，就很害怕遭人議論。因此，很多成人在有孩子在場的時候，會給自己更多娛樂的自由。在我們與休閑的關系中，信心是個很重要的因素。這是一個使得我們不那么害怕別人非議，變得更有自發(fā)性的先決條件。自信的人不怕在雨中濕身，也不畏懼在泥土里玩。
We need to have fun in our lives, but it is very unfortunate that we need to give ourselves permission to have fun. We must learn to play. For some, it begins in small doses, through small gestures. But the most important thing is to find what gives us pleasure. Our sources of pleasure change our expectations too. We gradually learn to adapt pleasurable activities in our lives.

When we take life so seriously, we deliberately bypass good moments of fun which are highly productive and essential to our lives. People who are highly playful are better equipped to cope with life situations. Play leads us to explore the unknown, and sometimes takes us into an unreal world. Not knowing what awaits us, we become better equipped to juggle all contingencies that may occur later in real life. In fact, such people do not consider situations as obstacles but as challenges.
當我們嚴肅地探討生活的時候，我們刻意繞開了那些非常豐富的，對我們生活不可或缺的美好時刻。玩心重的人能更好地應對生活的各種境況。娛樂使得我們探索未知世界，有時候甚至帶領我們進入虛擬的世界。未曾知曉前方等待我們的是什么，我們做好了更好的準備來迎接接下來的現(xiàn)實生活中的挑戰(zhàn)。事實上，這些人并不把障礙看做障礙，而把它們看成挑戰(zhàn)。
People who give themselves permission to play are less afraid of life in general, because they know that they have strategies to overcome obstacles. By playing, we give ourselves permission to be destabilized by the unexpected and learn to better manage the unknown, which we may encounter in our daily lives as well.
大體上，允許自己玩樂的人們沒那么懼怕生活，因為他們知道他們有克服困難的方法。通過娛樂，我們讓預料之外的事情來打破我們的平衡，借此學會了如何更好地掌控也許會出現(xiàn)在我們日常生活中的未知的事物。
With games, we flirt with the idea of letting go. It is a healthy distance from reality. In fact, because there are rules, constraints and limitations, play gives us greater freedom to act in our own lives. Play changes our thought process for the better and soothes the soul so that we are relieved from discomfort and physical strain is reduced. We also free ourselves from obligations and a restrictive life, coming out with a lighter spirit.

In addition, games create a tight social fabric. Moreover, they reestablish bonds by creating opportunities for healing and reconciliation. Participants are freer, more detached from worry or stress of their jobs, more relaxed and therefore more open and responsive. When we laugh or have fun, we can discuss and forget many problems. Play is indeed a very good teacher.
