It was a cold day in December. A 10-year-old boy was standing in front of a shoe store. He was looking through the window, barefooted and shivering with cold.

The clerk returned with the socks. The lady put on the socks for the boy, and then bought him a pair of shoes. She patted him on the head and said: "My dear little boy, do you feel more comfortable now?" The astonished lad caught her by the hand, and asked: "Are you God's wife?"
