Boris Dmitriev, a 30-year-old ambulance driver from Russia, has taken many photographs revealing the beauty of the night sky of Milky Way above rural Russian meadows and Georgia's mountainous landscapes, using a Canon 6D camera, a number of lenses and a specialized Vixen Polarie star tracker mount.
Boris said, “There's nothing quite like photographing the night sky. I photograph where I travel. The finest thing about night shooting is the opportunity to remain alone with nature, space and also to move apart from the framework of human perception.”
He added, “I love that the pictures look almost-supernatural. It makes you understand that we are the part of the Universe and here, you become closer to it.”
Astronomers estimate that there are over 100 billion stars in the Milky Way alone giving Boris a huge canvas for photography inspiration.
