Summary
At the school where I teach, all of the students have iPads. This is great for when students need to look up the definition of a word or do research, but it can also be frustrating for teachers when students instead play games.
在我教書的學(xué)校，所有的學(xué)生都有iPad。當(dāng)學(xué)生用它來查單詞或者搜索時(shí)，這是非常好的，但是當(dāng)學(xué)生們玩游戲時(shí)，就會(huì)讓老師很頭疼。
It seems that games on iPads or smartphones are popular with everyone: adults, kids, girls, and boys.
似乎手游已經(jīng)遍及千家萬戶了，可謂男女通吃老少皆宜啊。
I’d like to know about your experiences with video games. Am I the only one out there who doesn’t like these kind of games!?
我也想知道你們關(guān)于玩游戲的經(jīng)歷，我難道是唯一一個(gè)不喜歡玩游戲的人么？

I guess for me they are just kind of boring and seem a little pointless.

在我教書的學(xué)校，所有的學(xué)生都有iPad。當(dāng)學(xué)生需要查找單詞或搜索時(shí)是非常棒的，但是當(dāng)學(xué)生們玩起游戲來時(shí)，老師們也很頭疼。iPad或智能手機(jī)上的游戲十分受歡迎：大人，小孩，女孩和男孩都愛不釋手。
I think this is so interesting because, I’ve never really liked these kinds of games. Sometimes I think I am an anomaly, a strange person different than everyone else!

我覺得這很有意思，因?yàn)槲覐膩聿幌矚g這些游戲。有時(shí)我覺得我很反常，和常人不同！對我來說，游戲既無聊又沒意義。
It seems like there is no good reason to spend time playing a game. Now, that doesn’t mean I don’t spend time doing other pointless activities. For example, I watch a lot of TV and movies and I really enjoy this, but I don’t enjoy video games.
似乎沒有理由能說服我花時(shí)間玩游戲。但這并不意味著我不會(huì)花時(shí)間做其他無意義的活動(dòng)。例如，我很愛看電視和電影，我真的很喜歡這個(gè)，但我不喜歡玩電子游戲。
Maybe it’s because, frankly, I’m really bad at video games. I have some pretty bad memories of playing Mario Cart with my friends and losing really badly.
也許是因?yàn)槲艺娴暮懿簧瞄L電子游戲。我和我的朋友們玩超級(jí)瑪麗時(shí)就有一些非常糟糕的回憶，輸?shù)煤軕K。
There was only one video game that I ever liked, and it was called Guitar Hero. This is a game where you have a fake guitar and you need to push the colored buttons like you are playing the guitar. I got pretty obsessed with this game during middle school and would play it for hours after school. I remember playing so long that my eyes would start to hurt. But, I did beat the second hardest level!
我只喜歡一個(gè)電子游戲——吉他英雄。在這個(gè)游戲里，你有一把模擬吉他，你需要按下彩色按鈕，就像彈真吉他一樣。在中學(xué)時(shí)，我非常癡迷于這個(gè)游戲，下課后也會(huì)玩幾個(gè)小時(shí)。我記得有一次玩的時(shí)間太長了，眼睛開始疼了，但是我過了倒數(shù)第二難的那一關(guān)。
