Qiyihui Skill Exchange Club is partnering up with Ramona’s Mandarin Studio to hold a “Homemade Mooncake” party on August 29th.
Background: the Mid-Autumn Festival is the second grandest festival after the Spring Festival in China. It takes its name from the fact that it is always celebrated in the middle of the autumn season. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as at that time of the year the moon is at its roundest and brightest. On that day family members get together and enjoy the bright full moon.
Eating mooncakes is an important tradition during the festival as well. This activity will teach participants how to make different kinds of flavors of mooncake and learn more about Chinese Mid-Autumn culture! You'll share your own handmade mooncakes with your friends and family, isn’t that exciting?

Activity Content:
1. Participants will be divided into different groups, it will start by giving brief self-introduction of each participant;
2. Introduction of the history of the Mid-Autumn Festival;
3. The mooncake chef will teach you how to make mooncakes and you may begin to make your own!
4. Taste your homemade mooncakes
5. Group photo!
