一.enough用作形容詞
1.enough作形容詞時(shí),意思是“足夠的,充分的”,在句中多作定語(yǔ),一般修飾復(fù)數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞,可置于所修飾的名詞之前,也可置于所修飾的名詞之后。后者屬于舊式用法。

(1)S+be+~
Five men will be quite enough.五個(gè)人就足夠了。
(2)S+be+~+for n./pron.
Two apples is/are enough for me.兩個(gè)蘋果對(duì)于我足夠了。
(3)S+be+~+to- v
If each of us kicks in a small amount, it'll be enough to buy things for the party.
我們每一個(gè)人捐一點(diǎn)錢的話,就足夠買聯(lián)歡會(huì)所需要的東西了。
二.enough用作副詞
1.enough用作副詞時(shí),意思是“足夠,充分”,一般應(yīng)放在所修飾的形容詞、副詞或動(dòng)詞的后面。
2.enough還可作“相當(dāng)?shù)亍薄斑€可以地”解,這時(shí)在語(yǔ)氣上起弱化作用,即語(yǔ)氣上比不加enough時(shí)為弱。
I don't know him well enough to ask him for help.
我和他不夠熟,不便請(qǐng)他幫忙。
He didn't run fast enough to catch the train.
他跑得不夠快,沒(méi)有趕上火車。
三.enough用作名詞
enough用作名詞表示足夠,充分,足量,滿足等含義。主要在句中用作主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)。
