本人喜歡自駕，也看見(jiàn)不少qyer為了中國(guó)駕照在國(guó)外租車(chē)為了不少問(wèn)題而糾結(jié)，因此決定盡力為大家提供一些信息。
首先，先說(shuō)下國(guó)際駕照，真正的國(guó)際駕照的英文是International Driving Permit，這個(gè)東西中國(guó)駕照是沒(méi)法辦的，因?yàn)橹袊?guó)不是這個(gè)國(guó)際協(xié)定的參加國(guó)。IDP在每個(gè)國(guó)家駕照管理機(jī)構(gòu)或者指定機(jī)構(gòu)辦理，價(jià)格不貴，有效期1年，必須和原駕照同時(shí)使用才有效。在美國(guó)，IDP由AAA頒發(fā)，只要15美元，帶著照片和駕照到任一一個(gè)AAA，填張表，立等可取。其它所有的所謂國(guó)際駕照（常見(jiàn)的有international driving document和international driving license）都不是真正的國(guó)際駕照，法律效力還不及翻譯公證件是假的，大家不要上當(dāng)。
本帖附上的各國(guó)的對(duì)于駕照的規(guī)定都是官方的，會(huì)附上相應(yīng)的網(wǎng)址。但是請(qǐng)注意，符合這些規(guī)定，并不一定就能租到車(chē)，這個(gè)還需要看租車(chē)行的具體規(guī)定；同樣不符合規(guī)定也不一定就租不到車(chē)，但不符合規(guī)定一定就是無(wú)照駕駛，一旦被警察查到，有可能就是刑事罪，出了事也沒(méi)有保險(xiǎn)。通俗地說(shuō)，我有一輛車(chē)（租車(chē)行），你來(lái)管我借，你有合法的駕駛資格，但是我不一定就會(huì)租給你，同樣你就是沒(méi)有合法證件，我由于各種原因最后還是把車(chē)給你了，但是你能開(kāi)么？所以大家一定要慎重，尤其是在發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家，法就是一切，千萬(wàn)不要鉆空子。另外要注意的一點(diǎn)是，你在一地合法的租到車(chē)，開(kāi)到另一個(gè)地方之后并不一定仍能合法駕駛，最典型的例子就是從美國(guó)紐約（紐約州承認(rèn)中國(guó)駕照）租車(chē)開(kāi)到波士頓（馬薩諸塞州不承認(rèn)中國(guó)駕照），相信申根國(guó)之間也有這樣的情況。
另外，本帖所說(shuō)的情況僅限旅游簽證入境。

英國(guó)
必須有：有效的中國(guó)駕照
最好有：（公正的）英文翻譯件
時(shí)長(zhǎng)：自入境起12個(gè)月
具體規(guī)定：
If you want to drive in Britain, you must have either:
- A valid full driving licence issued in a European Community/European Economic area (EC/EEA)*
- A valid, full national licence issued in your country (Provided your full licence or driving permit remains valid, you may drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and with up to 8 passenger seats, for up to 12 months from the date of coming to the UK)

德國(guó)
必須有：中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證及一份在德國(guó)經(jīng)法院指定的宣誓翻譯完成的德文譯文或者一份經(jīng)相關(guān)負(fù)責(zé)德國(guó)駐華使領(lǐng)館認(rèn)證過(guò)的附有德文譯文的中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)

時(shí)長(zhǎng)：自入境起6個(gè)月
具體規(guī)定：
在德意志聯(lián)邦共和國(guó)境內(nèi)，持中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證者若不定居，可按照駕駛證載明的準(zhǔn)駕車(chē)型駕駛機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)。但必須注意以下要求和限制：
根據(jù)德國(guó)駕駛證使用規(guī)定，機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛?cè)吮匦钄y帶中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證及一份在德國(guó)經(jīng)法院指定的宣誓翻譯完成的德文譯文才可駕駛車(chē)輛。法院指定的宣誓翻譯姓名及地址見(jiàn)如下網(wǎng)頁(yè)：http://www.justiz-dolmetscher.de/或者也可攜帶一份經(jīng)相關(guān)負(fù)責(zé)德國(guó)駐華使領(lǐng)館認(rèn)證過(guò)的附有德文譯文的中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證。
持香港機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證者不必?cái)y帶德文譯文。
如果機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛?cè)嗽诘聡?guó)定居，則中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證及其德文譯文最多可使用 6個(gè)月?！ ?個(gè)月過(guò)后，中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證就不被德國(guó)認(rèn)可，機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛?cè)吮仨氃诘聡?guó)辦理機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證。
關(guān)于德國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證的獲得及所需條件，請(qǐng)及時(shí)與住處機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證主管部門(mén)聯(lián)系。如果機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛?cè)四軌蜃C明，其在德意志聯(lián)邦共和國(guó)定居時(shí)間不超過(guò)12個(gè)月，則可根據(jù)申請(qǐng)破例將其中國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證在德國(guó)的使用期再延長(zhǎng)6個(gè)月。
持不或不再被德國(guó)認(rèn)可的外國(guó)機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)駕駛證駕駛機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)輛，將被視為無(wú)證駕駛加以處罰。

Driving in Australia on an Overseas Driver's LicenceOverseas drivers visiting Australia, who do not hold a permanent visa, will be regarded as 'visiting drivers' and can use their valid overseas licence to drive. Most Australian states and territories (the exception being the Northern Territory) allow visiting drivers to drive indefinitely on their overseas licence as long as it is current. It is only when there is a change in visa/citizenship status or the overseas licence expires that an overseas driver is required to take out an Australian issued driver licence. In the Northern Territory a person is required to obtain a Northern Territory issued driver's licence after three months or apply to be granting an exemption from holding a local licence if they wish to continue to drive.
It is important to remember that a person can only drive vehicles which their overseas licence authorises them to drive and they must drive according to any conditions on their overseas licence.
Please be aware that a person who is driving in Australia must carry the overseas licence with them at all times whilst driving along with either an International driving permit OR an English translation if the overseas licence is not written in English.

your overseas licence is in English; if it's not, you must have an accurate translation, and
you've not been granted a New Zealand driver licence.
If your overseas driver licence or permit isn't in English you must carry an accurate English translation. The translation must be provided by: (1) a NZ Transport Agency authorised translation service, or (2) a diplomatic representative at a high commission, embassy or consulate, or (3) the authority that issued your overseas licence (an International Driving Permit may be acceptable as a translation).
